ABOUT US

PCA Southeast has been in operation since 1960, when it was initially
founded as an independent pathology laboratory in Tennessee. Although its
name has changed over the years, its focus on quality service, accurate
diagnosis, and up-to-date technology has remained the same. Ferrell, Olson, Moore, Pearson, Bramlett PLLC is the pathology group which owns PCA
Southeast. This professional limited liability company is comprised of five
member pathologists and employs or has contracts with nine additional
pathologists. The group provides medical directorship to hospital and independent laboratories throughout their service areas. The pathologists have over 100 combined years of experience in providing anatomic pathology service and medical directorship to hospitals and laboratories, as well as physician
outpatient business. Our pathologists' expertise covers all specialties including urology, gastroenterology, gynecology, dermatology, and pediatric pathology. PCA Southeast's primary service area includes Middle Tennessee, East Tennessee, and West Tennessee through Jackson. Additional areas of business serviced by our team include Indiana, Kentucky, Northern Mississippi, Northern Alabama, and Northern Georgia including Atlanta.

PCA Southeast remains on the cutting edge of technology as an early adapter of new testing with Cytyc ThinPrep pap tests, a Cytyc ThinPrep image analysis system, and molecular testing for human papilloma virus (HPV) and Gonorrhea/Chlamydia (GC/CT). We have also perfected technology in
information reporting by offering a HIPAA compliant automated telephone reporting system for pap results and an Internet ordering and reporting system.

PCA Southeast maintains stringent quality assurance guidelines for peer review and follow-up studies. A comprehensive compliance program is maintained with resources dedicated to compliance and on-going regulatory changes.

PCA Southeast maintains comprehensive managed care contract coverage with
all major payors.

PCA Southeast maintains full-time sales representatives located in each area for marketing and client support. Our sales representatives are supplemented by our existing client service/support department at our Columbia, Tennessee facility. PCA Southeast recognized the need for improved centralized communications with its physicians several years ago, and thereby established a full-time, fully-staffed client service/support department responsible for taking calls, directing calls to the proper individuals, and resolving problems.

PCA Southeast is licensed, inspected, and accredited by state and federal
agencies, as well as the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and CMS
Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). Our pathologists are
members of the Tennessee Medical Society, CAP, American Society of Clinical
Pathologists (ASCP), and several of our pathologists also serve as
inspectors for the College of American Pathologists.
